The choice of mold clearance:

The clearance of the mould is related to the type and thickness of the material being stamped, unreasonable clearance can cause the following problems:

 

1. If the clearance is too large, the stamping workpiece burr is relatively large, stamping quality is not good. If the clearance is too small, although the quality of piercing is good, but the mold wear more serious, greatly reduce the service life of the dies, also easy to cause the punch break.

2. The clearance too large or too small is prone to adhesion on the punch material; Too small clearance is easy to form a vacuum between the punch bottom and the sheet material, and cause the scrap rebound.

3. Reasonable clearance can prolong the life of the mold, good discharging effect, reduce burr and flanging, keep the sheet clean, the aperture will not scratch the plate, reduce the number of grinding, keep the plate straight, piercing positioning accuracy.

How to improve the die service life?

To improve the die life can greatly reduce the stamping costs. The factors that affect the die service life are as follows:

 

1. The type and thickness of materials

2. Choose a reasonable female clearance

3. The die structure form

4. Whether there is good lubrication of punching material

5. Whether the die has undergone special surface treatment, such as titanium/carbon nitride

6. Upper and lower turret in same center

7. The adjustable gasket reasonable use

8. Whether the inclined edge die is used properly

9. Do not use standard molds to process non-standard shapes

10. Whether the die seat has been worn
